As a rule, following the purchase by a new owner, existing Tuscan farmhouses undergo renovation works in order to render the former farmer’s dwelling into a modern, comfortable home.
Within the scope of these changes, the client intended to build an annexe on the south side of the existing construction, with a broad glazed living room on the ground floor and a cosy terrace on the roof.
The terrace is accessible from the master bedrooms located on the first floor and from it one can appreciate the wide valley dominated by the house, with the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan archipelago in the background.
The entire annexe is lined with local stone and blends perfectly with the existing building and its surroundings.
